First and foremost, I humbly give thanks and dedicate this message to our Heavenly Father, and to my beloved parents, family, and ancestors.
As Founder and President, I extend my deepest Aloha from my heart to all of Kauaʻi and to our visitors near and far. It is with humility and love that I share this expression of Aloha in honoring our Nā Kūpuna of Kauaʻi—our cherished elders—through the Legacy of Aloha.
This work is a heartfelt calling: to honor, value, and bless those who came before us, those who walk with us today, and the future Kūpuna yet to come. Our elders are our living treasures—deeply rooted in the island of Kauaʻi—who have guided us with wisdom, discipline, compassion, and unconditional love.
We remember their teachings, their sacrifices, and their way of life—lessons grounded in culture, respect, and the spirit of Aloha. They have shown us how to live in harmony with the land, from the mountains to the ocean, how to care for one another, and how to give without expecting in return.
Kauaʻi is more than a place—it is a feeling, a healing, and a way of life. It is where Aloha lives in every heart, where kindness, respect, and unity are shared among all. As we continue forward through changing times, may we never forget our roots, our upbringing, and the values instilled in us by our Kūpuna.
Let us carry their legacy with pride—honoring, cherishing, and caring for our elders, and passing down these teachings to future generations.
Kauaʻi—our beloved home—remains a sacred place filled with love, beauty, and Aloha Spirit.
ʻOi aku ka ikaika o mākou.
Together, we are stronger.
With deepest gratitude and Aloha,
Me ke aloha pumehana. 💛❤

Vice President
As an island boy and raised on Kauai, my understanding of Aloha runs deeper than a greeting or a farewell. It is the foundation of how I move through this world. Aloha is breath, presence, and intention. It is how I was taught to treat people, how I carry my family’s values, and how I honor the land and ocean that raised me.
Aloha is not just something to say. It is something I practice. It is the way I choose to live — with respect, empathy, humility, authenticity, and pono — every single day.

Secretary
Over the past year, I've felt a storng calling to give back through volunteer work. When I was asked to help with the Walk and Roll last October. I knew it marked the beginning of a meaningful journey. Not long after, I was invited to join the board as Secretary-- an honor I deeply cherish.
I am incredibly grateful for the life that God has blessed me with, and I felt it was time to give back to my community in a puposeful way. Being part of Na Kupuna O Kaua'i is a privilege. It allows me to honor our kupuna, who are vital links to our past and cultural heritage. Their mo'olelo--their stories--and talents are treasures that must be preserved and passed on to future generations.

Treasurer
I volunteer as Treasurer for Na Kupuna O Legacy of Aloha because the elders in my life have always been my steady source of love, wisdom and guidance. They nurtured me, believed in me, and shaped the person I became. Serving in this role is my way of giving that love back--of honoring and cherishing the kupuna who continue to hold our communities together with grace, knowledge and aloha.

I joined Nā Kūpuna O Kauaʻi – Legacy of Aloha because of the deep love I felt within this community. The work serves a greater purpose to honor the elders of Kauaʻi and uplift their stories, wisdom, and legacy. There is a strong sense of unity, respect, and aloha that can be felt in every gathering. It’s not just about organizing events, it’s about creating meaningful moments, building connections, and showing our Kūpuna how deeply they are valued and appreciated. Being part of something that carries so much purpose brings a sense of fulfillment and pride.
Seeing the joy on the Kūpuna’s faces when they are present, the smiles, the laughter, and the light in their eyes makes everything truly worthwhile. Those moments are a reminder of why we do this work, and they continue to inspire me to give back with love, gratitude, and aloha.
Love and aloha, to me, is about being present, kind, and genuine in the way I connect with others. It’s showing care, respect, patience, and compassion, and making sure people feel seen, heard, and supported. It’s the energy of coming from the heart and sharing warmth with the people around you.

Member and Website Support
Honoring the legacy of love of my kūpuna makes me want to support April’s vision of “Nā Kūpuna O Kaua’i Legacy of Aloha”. I was blessed to be able to attend the first event as a kupuna from the community, invited by my kupuna hula sisters from the Kapa’a Neighborhood Center hula class. What I experienced was pure Aloha and joy that filled my heart with so much gratitude, that I wanted to support these events that uplift our kupuna in any way that I can. I am so grateful I have been given opportunities to do this. Mahalo nui a me ke aloha pumehana.
